The new Frozen film is coming to theaters on Christmas Day, the first in a string of holiday installments.
The new movie will be the first Frozen film to air in the U.S. in nearly three decades.
This time around, the Frozen franchise will be celebrating its 25th anniversary, with a Christmas Day release date.
The first two films, 2011’s Frozen and 2014’s A Wrinkle in Time, grossed over $1 billion at the global box office.
The third installment, 2015’s Finding Dory, made nearly $1.2 billion at worldwide box office, and will debut on December 16.
The movie will debut in 3D on December 12, and in a wide-release format in the summer of 2019.
The film is directed by Olafur Eliasson, and stars Kristen Bell, Jake Gyllenhaal, Idina Menzel, Chris Hemsworth, Michael Cera, Chris Pine, Andy Samberg, Jennifer Connelly, and Anthony Mackie.
